The Advertising & Design CTE Program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and, ultimately, a portfolio needed for employment as a designer. This career path utilizes the Adobe Suite with a focus in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign combined with the student’s own enthusiasm and design to create visually appealing projects. This program also teaches the basics of drawing, photography/cameras, and website accessibility. Offering a designer-client feel is paramount to success and providing real-life office exposure to students allows this to happen.

Mercy Tech and LaSalle University have entered into a partnership where students in Mercy's Advertising & Design program can transition certain of their skills into La Salle’s related degree programs. Mercy provides academic preparation, advising, and student support and La Salle handles admissions review, credit evaluation, and recruitment support.
This relationship creates a pathway for Mercy students to enroll at La Salle and receive credit/advanced standing for completed coursework. Students must graduate in good standing, meet La Salle admission criteria, and complete specified coursework and portfolio requirements.
