Gifts of appreciated stock held for more than one year offer special tax benefits by providing a tax deduction for their fair market value while eliminating capital gains assessments on their future sale. Businesses and qualified individuals can receive up to a 90% credit on PA state taxes by contributing to Mercy Career & Technical High School through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and/or the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs.
