Lent and Easter 2026

This Lent and Easter season, there are so many things we are doing for our students, faculty, and staff. You can get a sense of the spiritual offerings and service opportunities as part of this season at Mercy Tech below:

  • Ash Wednesday services and the distribution of ashes during Theology classes on Wednesday, February 18th.
  • Mercy Tech Lenten Reflection Series in the Mercy Weekly Update.
  • Lunches will be meatless on Ash Wednesday & each Friday during Lent.
  • “What I’m Giving Up for Lent” Series during HR Announcements.
  • Our community will have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Wednesday, February 25th
  • Rosary Club – which typically meets afterschool on Wednesdays – will lead the Stations of the Cross for students, faculty, and staff.  Check the daily announcements for updates.
  • Mercy will participate in a school-wide drive called Soles4Souls.  Donate shoes in good condition - all sizes and styles for adults, youth, and toddlers.  OUR GOAL IS 200 PAIRS OF SHOES! The shoe drive will be held from Wednesday, February 18th thru Wednesday, April 8th: https://soles4souls.org/
  • Mercy will participate in Operation Rice Bowl.  This is a way for communities to practice solidarity with those experiencing hunger and hardship. Each theology teacher will have a rice bowl in their classroom.  There will also be one in the Main Office and one in the faculty room on the 2nd floor. Proceeds go to Catholic Relief Services: https://www.crsricebowl.org/
  • Operation Holy Week of Service from March 30 to April 1, 2026.  Students, faculty, and staff will participate in this week devoted to the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy.  A Mercy Tech team of adults and students will go out into the community to do service and meet with local legislators.  In the classroom, there will be opportunities to talk about this issue.
