Summer Assignments
Summer Assignments for all students are detailed below. Most assignments have been posted to your Google Classroom as well. Students should have assignments for English, Math, Theology and Sophomores-Seniors should have a CTE Project.
For all reading assignments, student should purchase a physical copy of their book, and keep chapter notes in a journal/note book/Google Doc.
Class of 2023

For English/Language Arts (McAuley Program), please read Tears of a Tiger by Sharon M. Draper

For Theology, please read A Most Beautiful Thing: The True Story of America’s First All Black High School Rowing Team by Arshay Cooper
- Be prepared for test and discussion questions upon return to school in September. You will need your own copy of the book for class (Not on a kindle or iPad)

For English/Language Arts, please read The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien ( the comic version, illustrated by David Wenzel)

For Theology:
Just Mercy - adapted for young adults by Bryan Stevenson
(Make sure it is the young adult version)
You must have your own copy, not a Kindle or iPad
Be prepared for a test and discussion questions upon return to school in September. You will need your own copy of the book for class.
