McAuley Program (Academic Support)
Overview:
The McAuley Program offers an alternative support structure for students who have specific learning needs. This is a select program with a smaller class size. Students in the McAuley Program receive additional learning support in the areas of organization, study skills, assignment completion, and test taking.
This is an academic support program. IEPs (Individual Education Plan) are not developed or maintained for students in the McAuley Program. Parents/guardians agree to encourage and support their student in the completion of assignments, good attendance, positive behaviors/attitudes, and the compliance with school policies.
The mission of the McAuley program is to provide students with special learning strategies so they will become more successful throughout their high school education. There may come a time when a student has utilized the services offered and is able to move out of the McAuley Program. Upon review of students’ performance, the Director of the McAuley Program, the Learning Support Services Coordinator, and Administration will determine the appropriate academic group placement for a McAuley student.
