Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)

A gift to Mercy Career & Technical High School can provide your company with a substantial PA tax credit. Deadline for application is July 1st. By making a contribution, your company can save on your PA taxes up to 90 percent of the value of your gift. Please take a few moments to review this opportunity with your company's tax advisor. Your support of Mercy Career & Technical High School through EITC will help us offer a values-based education to those students whose educational and career goals are best served by a quality, comprehensive career and technical education/academic secondary school program.

Please visit www.dced.pa.gov for the latest on EITC credits.

Opportunity Scholarship Tax Program (OSTC)

This new funding of $50 MM will provide opportunity scholarships of up to $8500 per student for those who live in the lowest 15% of performing school districts in the state and $15,000 for special education students in the same situation. The application for these credits will be available only online and you must apply separately for these credits. If you were denied EITC credits this year, you can apply for the OSTC credits but you must file again using the new online application. Also, if you did not receive the maximum amount of EITC credits which is now $400,000 per entity, you can apply for additional credits through the OSTC program. You can apply for a total of $400,000 in credits for both programs.

Please visit www.dced.pa.gov for the latest on OSTC credits.
