Students at Mercy Tech complete 4 years of English as part of the Common Core State Standards. We receive guidance on our curriculum from the National Council of Teachers of English and experience faculty. Each year of study focuses on a different aspect of literature. Students at Mercy Tech complete 4 years of Mathematics as part of the Common Core State Standards. We receive guidance on our curriculum from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and experienced faculty. Students at Mercy Tech complete 3 years of Science as part of the Common Core State Standards. Science courses are taught to enhance the career and technical choice a student makes. Each of these subjects provides pertinent information that complements a student’s chosen field. You can read more about the program here.

Students at Mercy Tech complete 3 years of Social Studies as part of the Common Core State Standards. develop a fundamental awareness of World Cultures and United States History based upon the Pennsylvania Standards. We investigate why historical events occurred. To aid the students, we examine the following: cause and effect, relationships of events, people, and decisions. Students at Mercy Tech complete 4 years of Theology which provides students with a greater understanding of the Catholic faith and fuller development of their own spirituality and personal relationship with God. The students truly live out the charism of Catherine McAuley by their involvement in works of service. All students are required to complete at least 10 hours of community service over the course of each school year. You can read more about the program here.

The McAuley Program offers an alternate support structure for a student who has special learning needs and who meets the educational requirements of the program. This is a select program with a small class size. The curriculum focuses on the development of English, reading, math, study skills, and organizational skills. You can read more about the program here.
