AboutThe Business CTE program is designed to prepare students for the competitive business atmosphere that exists in today’s work environment.
All business students are exposed to Microsoft® Office, which enables them to earn a Microsoft® Office Specialist (MOS) certification. This achievement provides future employers and educators with an important indicator of the students’ level of expertise using the Microsoft® Office Suite. Mercy CTE is an official training center for the Microsoft® Office Certification Program.
The Business Education Program is one of the few high school programs in the Philadelphia area that teaches design thinking. Students learn logical and critical thinking, empathy, creative problem solving, strategic planning, and clear communication skills. The program combines traditional academics with service-focused projects, which are designed to positively impact the Mercy CTE community and the City of Philadelphia.
